Cloud-based security softwares

Data handling nowadays is very different from the past, and we can see the rapid changes of technology. And also, the capacity of its storage has become bigger to provide enough storage for our data. Indeed, it’s a very crucial and it has to be safe always.

I mentioned earlier about the rapid development of technology and about data storage, and we all know about data storing in the cloud, it’s not the cloud that we see in the sky, but it’s what we called Cloud Computing.
What is Cloud-computing then?
It is the use of computing resources (hardware and software) that are delivered as a service over a network (typically the Internet). The name comes from the use of a cloud-shaped symbol as an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it contains in system diagrams. Cloud Computing entrusts remote services with a user's data, software and computation.

So in short, it allows you to access and store your data without installing any third party software’s, and since it’s now on the cloud, you can access it every now and then, as long as you have an internet.

But then, we need to secure it as well, because it is now more vulnerable to threats and malwares, and we need to implement more security, knowing that cyber-crimes is very rampant nowadays. And I would say, It's Better to be safe than sorry. :)

Here are some software’s that could help us to fight hackers and malware threats.
  1. Intego VirusBarrier iOS
Contrary to popular belief, even Apple-branded devices have weak spots vulnerable to attacks. Protect your treasured iPhone with the Intego VirusBarrier iOS, the first anti-malware app that Apple has approved for listing in its App Store. This App, scans files downloaded from Safari, linked e-mail addresses and even cloud storage services. It also repairs infected files and scans the websites you visit for possible threats.
  2. Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows
The eight version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, prevents malicious software from entering your operating system, with its anti-virus scanning system monitoring and device and website control. In addition, it gives the user access to the cloud-based Kaspersky Security Network, which reports real-time information on regional and global security threats.
  3. Blackberry Mobile Fusion
The blackberry Mobile Fusion makes managing, configuring, and securing devices running on all three mobile operating systems a breeze. Take control of all company-owned devices using just one interface, from groups and apps, to remote management and data synchronization.
  4. MobileIron 4.5
Android users (particularly those with Samsung and HTC Smartphones) now have a top-notch enterprise-level mobile device management (MDM) option in MobileIron 4.5. It has a full support for the latest Android software (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich), along with secure connectivity. Thanks to Cisco remote hardware control for IT administrators and data encryption.
  5. Trend Micro Titanium Cloud Edition Maximum Security 2012
The cloud storage and social networking services that you use may have their own security systems, but it’s always best to have your own security system. Trend Micro’s Titanium Cloud Edition Maximum Security 2012 edition wards off threats from incoming files, tweets and Facebook Wall posts. It supports Android devices and syncs up to 10GB of data for mobile access and provides unique security features like the Trend Micro Vault, System Tuner and Secure Erase.

  2. A good and reliable internet connection is, indeed, what’s needed to be able to access one’s files using cloud storage. It is efficient for businessmen, especially if they are often on the road and they need to access their files every once in a while. In addition, it even lessens energy consumption, since bigger server rooms are not needed.
